The AI recommends, the driver decides
Copilot for a self-employed haulier working with Amazon Relay. It reads offers from email, computes the real profit per km including empty legs and drafts a negotiation reply in Spanish and English.
How it works
with human approval at every step- Gmail Picks up load offers every few minutes.
- Evaluator Three-block cost model, official diesel price and a six-level rating.
- Claude Drafts the counter-offer in Spanish and English and adapts strategy to the season.
- Flask dashboard Nothing is sent or accepted without human approval.
Why I built it
I built it for a relative who drives a truck. The per-km price the platform shows ignores the empty drive to the pickup and the real cost of the truck, and choosing in a hurry among dozens of offers a day costs money.
What it taught me
- The most important rule in the system is a constraint: the AI never acts on its own.
- Keeping the AI client in a single module made it possible to switch providers without touching the rest of the code.
